Overview

Organisations registered in categories 5 and 6 must have effective governance arrangements in place.

Under the Aged Care Act 2024, governing bodies are responsible for meeting specific requirements around membership, suitability and organisational constitution.

These responsibilities help ensure strong leadership, transparency and accountability in the delivery of aged care services.
