About us
LMHARN brings together Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) across the Loddon Mallee and Hume regions to stay informed and up to date on aged care and the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People.
We gather real stories, case studies and updates from local ACCOs. These are shared with the Victorian Committee for Aboriginal Aged Care and Disability and with representatives from the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing who attend our meetings
Who Attends
We invite a representative from each ACCO. On average, we welcome 22 consistent participants. This strong and steady attendance reflects the commitment to our shared purpose.
Guest Speakers Welcome
We welcome speakers from organisations who share insights that support Elders and strengthen wellbeing. Past presenters have included:
Elders Rights Advocacy
Department of Health, Disability and Ageing
Department of Families, Fairness and Housing
Dementia Australia
Vision Australia
Diabetes Victoria
Health professionals in incontinence, diet, nutrition, and bone and muscle health
These gatherings go beyond meetings. They’re a time to share wisdom, build trust and stand together in unity. Every conversation reminds us why we do this work – to give back to our Elders, who have given us so much.
