Responsible Persons

Categories 1–6

Overview

A responsible person is someone who plays a key role in how an aged care provider is run. This includes:

  • Members of the governing body

  • Senior staff who influence decisions or manage day-to-day operations.

Responsible persons have a legal duty to make sure the provider is meeting its obligations under the Aged Care Act.
