The responsible persons toolkit
This toolkit gives you clear, practical support to understand and manage responsible person obligations under the Aged Care Act 2024.
Designed for in-home aged care providers, the toolkit includes plain language guides, templates, checklists and videos to support governance, compliance and oversight.
While the toolkit focuses on CHSP providers, most content is also relevant to organisations delivering Support at Home services.

This guide is designed specifically for people in governance and leadership roles.
It explains what it means to be a responsible person under the Aged Care Act 2024, including your duties, obligations and how to demonstrate due diligence in your role. The guide also outlines how to use data, reports and systems to support good decision-making and oversight.

10) Responsible persons reporting schedule

This tool is designed to help in-home aged care providers plan and track internal and external reporting that supports governance, compliance and continuous improvement.
It supports organisations to map the information responsible persons need to receive, as well as the reporting obligations required by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission. This includes clarifying reporting frequency, responsibilities and key timeframes.
