Internal auditing masterclass – strengthening governance

  • AEST (VIC Time) Online (map)

Internal audits shouldn’t feel like a box-ticking exercise. When done well, they strengthen governance, support better decisions and improve outcomes for older people.

Join this practical online masterclass to build your confidence and capability to plan and conduct internal self-audits that drive real improvement in your organisation.

After the masterclass, selected participants may be invited to apply for personalised support to review their audit and strengthen their improvement plan.

What the session will cover

  • audit fundamentals and why they matter

  • how to design an internal audit framework

  • how to conduct an internal audit in practice

  • how to translate audit findings into action

  • how to use the governance internal audit tool.

You’ll also learn how to apply the tools in your own organisation and document findings and reflections.

Why this matters

Strong internal audits help you:

  • identify risks early

  • find practical improvement opportunities

  • strengthen governance and accountability

  • align with the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

Most importantly, they help you move from compliance-driven activity to meaningful quality improvement.

This masterclass is designed for people working in CHSP and Support at Home-funded aged care, including:
