Implementing the new Whistleblower Provisions

This session sold out when we ran it in August. So we’re running it again.

The Aged Care Act 2024 introduces whistleblower protections across aged care. This means older people, staff, volunteers and others must have a safe way to report misconduct or wrongdoing – without fear of retaliation.

Aged care providers must now establish clear, compliant systems to protect whistleblowers and respond appropriately to concerns.

In this practical online session, we’ll unpack provider responsibilities and offer step-by-step guidance to help you implement these protections in your organisation.

We’ll cover

  • What the new Whistleblower Provisions mean for in-home aged care providers

  • What compliance looks like in practice

  • Practical ways to implement whistleblower systems that work in your setting

  • How to identify and engage key stakeholders

  • How to use simple change management tools, such as communication plans

Why Attend?

  • Gain practical insights into your obligations under the new law

  • Take away a summary slide deck for ongoing reference

  • Join a live Q&A to explore your organisation’s challenges
